Natalie & Eric

Are Getting Married

How We Met …

We met online in the Summer of 2014…not surprising for two suburban introverts. (Fun fact: We could have crossed paths in life on several occasions where we attended the same event, but God had other plans.)  After communicating via phone for a couple weeks, we had our first date at McCormick and Schmick’s in Skokie, Illinois on July 18th. Our connection grew stronger through the summer, and we made it official on September 19th, 2014 at Big Star in Wicker Park over tacos and margaritas. Four years later, we are excited to make this commitment to spending our lives together.

The Proposal

Natalie Said Yes

October 20, 2017. As a third anniversary gift, Eric planned to have our friend and photographer extraordinaire, Tim Schmidt, do a photoshoot at Ping Tom Park in the South Loop. This is a neighborhood we frequented for the first half of our relationship, and we passed this park often. Because of the beautiful city views, I would always tell Eric I wanted to take photos there. Needless to say, I was ecstatic to make this photoshoot come to life. As an effort to make this extra special, Eric had some special “props” and poses to try. I went along with everything, but little did I know, he had been planning for months to propose!
